Tag Archive: lists

I was just looking over the draft lit review that I got feedback on and I decided to draw up a list of things to look up to make it better and a sort of format to make it more organised. Looking at it, I can see where I have too much information and where I have not enough. I really hope this works and motivates me to do more work.

At the moment I feel like I’ve been pretty slack. But as Nisa said, “you’ve gotta force yourself to do work daily”. Cant really wait for inspiration to come..just gotta try and force it. :S

Toodledooooo

I’ve downloaded toodledo and so far I quite like it. I’ve already put in most of my things on my to do list and it’s keeping me in check….for now.

I like:

- lists. It helps keep me in check and not slack off till the last minute…..and panic. (I know I still slack off..but not so badly relative to previous years)

- how it allows me to write anything and everything I need to do in the immediate future (even if it’s little things like remembering to buy presents, etc)

- how it sends me email updates when I have a due date coming up and I havent done what I was supposed to do

- the fact that it’s relatively idiot proof.

- how you can write notes to accompany your agenda and you’re not limited to the number of words that can fit in a line.

- the fact that you can sync your to do list with you iPhone.

I dont like:

- the fact that the iPhone app isnt free

- the priority ratings because face it, everything is important and needs to be done by a due date so the whole act of putting ratings is unnecessary.

- how the tasks are listed based on importance level. It’s unnecessary because the importance level is based on the due date. So if something is due tomorrow, it would have a higher importance level. Isn’t that pretty obvious?

- how the toodledo website looks. I think more people would use it if it looked a bit better.
